a carolina rig will catch fish, it's as simple as that. but it is just like anything else, it has it's time and place to be used. a lot of the times when i am fishing a tourny, lets say the water is like glass with no wind and i am starting to panic because the day is getting short and i am in desperate need of some fish to fill a limit. i like to find some deep structure and throw a c-rig. it's far from my favorite way to fish but it has been really good at times for me. usually it won't get you the giant bite we all dream of but it can produce a lot of fish. it is no different than a crankbait or spinnerbait or anyother kind of fishing.....if you don't have any confidence in it, your probably not gonna catch any fish.
