Baseball lost a great one
Earl Weaver passed away yesterday. One of the greastest managers ever.
I've been to alot major leaque baseball games in my life. Seen alot of great players at their peak, Johnny Bench, Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, Jim Palmer, Boog Powell, Dale Murphy, Criss Chambliss, Reggie Jackson, Cal Ripken, Ozzie Smith, just name a few. Seen alot great plays, Reggie Jackson hit a HR that never got much higher than the fence and got out there in a damn hurry, next AB hit moon shot about 500ft that took forever to land. I seen Cardinals score about 12 runs on the Braves in 2 innings and never hit a single or a HR all doubles and triples. But the greatest thing I ever saw any baseball was Earl Weaver going berzerk on a home plate umpire. Hat around backwards, nose to nose really going at each other. Weaver kicked dirt on his shoes and got tossed. Greatest 5 minutes at any baseball game I ever went to. RIP EARL WEAVER
