What kind of sunglasses
I was just wondering what kind and if everyone here fishes with sunglasses. I find that they help take the strain off of my eyes even in cloudy weather. They also let me see those hawgs under the lawgs. I wear Oakley Straight Jackets with Deep Blue Iridium Lenses.

I got the Fives Squared by Oakley. Simple black polarized lenses. Great pair of shades.

My Rx glasses have magnetic clip ons that are polarized. But they aren't very dark and let a ton of light in thru the sides, bottom, and top.
I'm looking into getting a pair of cocoons for next season. BB

I've been wearing a pair of Wiley-X(Brick). Hands down, these are the most comfortable pair of eye protection that I've ever worn.

Like umbrellas, I lose, forget, or break glasses too easily. That is why I use the polarized glasses from various vendors at Wal Mart that cost about $10.00
Woody, those glasses look awesome. How much is a pair like those? I just might have to make an exception.

Islanbass,
I think I gave Night Vision Planet.Com $115 for a pair of them earlier this year. Now I notice that they have lowered the price by $43. Here's the link. http://www.nightvisionplanet.com/Wil...wileyx-855.htm -Mark |

Costa Del Mar Fathom. Gray for sunny days, amber for cloudy.
To keep from losing/breaking them I hang them around my neck using Chums. so far i haven't lost or broken a pair using Chums, and that has been 10 years or so.

I have a couple different pairs of Solar Bats with different color lenses. I really want to get Costas with the 580 lens though. I do believe you can see better in the water with them.

My wife got me a pair of Oakley Monster Dog (Fishing Specific) with the deep blue polarized lens for Father's Day and I love them. I have been using some Costa Wave Killer for about 5 years, but these are the one hands down. They are a little over sized with wide arms that block any light from coming in around the edges and they stay on my face. And the lens are not real dark, so they are good for low light and sunny days. The Costa tend to slide down my nose a lot and shift around because of the weight and the lens were a little dark for early morning use. I know there is always a debate over high dollar sunglasses, but I have wore Strike King to Oakleys with a lot between, and like anything else, you get what you pay for in optics in my opinion.

Costa Del Mar Tropic Star or H3O Polarized. Both brands come with 3 interchangeable lens in different tints to cover all conditions.

Mau Jim (MJ)
When I went in for a eye check up, I asked questions about sunglasses. To my surprise they had several brands. The fitter is a Bass fisherman and he said he likes the rain x effect of the M J. He wet several brands and they have something on the lens that were better then the rest. Some of the guys I work with they prefer the Costa Del Rio so probably Chevy/Ford thing. I have had water spray on windy days and they do shed the water spray very good, but you may be able to put rain x on any brand and they would do the same. I was in last week with my wife for her eye exam and he showed me a set of MJ that had a reading area on the bottom. While there I explained mine were to tight probably due to leaving them on a very hot dash and he said bring them in and we will adjust them. Well bubba here broke them into while showing him how tight they were. Under warrenty, by the way I need to call him now. I looked at the new line for this year and the metal frames are so much easier to adjust for nose and width area. I am 6' 6" and 300 + so I don't have a normal face size. Do a research on the subject as I asked the same question last spring and there were a lot of good opinions and responses then. Good luck.
