Sometimes life just ups and craps in your hat.
It sure crapped in mine this morning. My friend Bob passed away on Saturday and I just got word this morning. He was only a couple years older than me and I got him into kayak fishing just last year. He was a co-worker and friend for over 40 years and now he's gone. We just never know, so we should live life every day as though it may be our last. Sorry, but I am really bummed out today.
Rest in Peace, my friend. |

The best we can do to honour our friends and loved ones that have departed ,
is to live our lives as if they are watching. Sorry for your loss Rick |

I'm sorry, Bruce. True friends can never be replaced. And yes, living every day like it may be our last is true. Just be sure Bob's tying into a big hog right now.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's always hard when a true friend is suddenly gone without the chance to say goodbye and let them know how much they meant to you.
May he rest in peace.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Living each day as though it is our last is easier to say than to do sometimes, with all the complications that arise each day. But then something like this comes along and causes us to take a step back and reflect. However we live our lives, loving and appreciating our friends, that's what really counts. Try and rest easy my friend in knowing the wonderful memories you and Bob shared. And the next time your out in your kayak, catch one for Bob. He will be pleased.

Your loss
Anyone who has lost their closest friend & fishing companion knows all too well how terrible and difficult this can be. In the moments of our greatest grief, perhaps we can take some comfort in remembering all the good times we have shared with that special friend and fellow fisherman. The sadness that life sometimes hands us can, in part, be counterbalanced by these fine and enduring memories.
