Question on water heater insulation
What type of tape should i use?
Duct tape? Silver tape? Tyvek tape?

INSULATION as in a water heater blanket (wrap)? Duct tape is fine. If you meant INSTALLATION (I don't believe you did) then Don's answer is correct - white Teflon tape for the threads.
