Default Looking the Gift Horse in the mouth..

and trying to figure out how stuff happens.

I get my renewal notice today for my boat insurance - and they have reduced my rate! Not by much, $30.00 for the year, but still a surprise as I've been with them (Progressive) about 5 years now.

That almost NEVER happens, an insurance company REDUCING your rate? I have always (most anyway) experienced the opposite when it comes time to renew ANY insurance policy.

They gave the reason as being my "good driving record", not having any "resposible accidents" or any "citations or violations".

OK, that's fine but I did have a claim last year for amost $1800.00 in hull damage. Now I did pay my deductible but still the insurance covered about $1300.00 of it.

So, I filed a claim and got my rates reduced - I gotta find a nice rock a Dale Hollow ON SATURDAY, the LAST DAY, not the first day there and maybe get an upgrade to a 250HP 4-stroke.
