buzzbait and spinner bait colors help
I fish alot at these two resivours by my house only because i can reach them by my bike. the biggest i caught was a 17 inches 4 lb smallmouth there. but i think my scale is messed up. A couple of guys said they have caught 10 pounders there on spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. I just want to know what colors to buy? The water is murky and can get really deep at points. so what colors would be good to use there???
thanks |

There have been multiple post's on spinnerbaits recently. Most of these have covered in depth colors, blade options, retrieves, etc. Do a search back through the older threads and most of your questions will probably be answered. If not, ask specifics based on what you haven't learned from the other post's.

smallies like both those colors..both are good for murky and stained water...experiment and find out what the fish want...some days they want spinners, some they want plastics, and some days they want topwater..good luck!!!

I don't fish many solid chartreuse baits, but a white/chartreuse combo works real well in stained water. I also like a silver colorado/gold willow blade in real stained water and the reverse in slightly stained water. In clear water I use silver blades and a white or shad colored skirt.

Oh, and for buzzbaits no need to get real fancy-I pretty much use white during the day and black at night or in real dark cloudy conditions.
