Tid Bits for the young guns
Young folks! This time of the year is not the best time to catch a lot of big fish.. Remember these basics rules. Bass are most active from April to mid June and September to mid Oct, when the water temp ranges between 55 and 75 . When the temp reaches the 80deg mark ( as it is now) they will move deep to creek channels where the water temp is cooler and where they can find protective cover. . If you are bank fishing, find a creek and fish there, because the temp is cooler in these creeks or find a deep drop off that has some sort of cover. Bass will use these channels for ambush points.…..Early morning and late evening when the temp is a little cooler and they are feeding on shad, fish the shore lines with a shallow dive bait, a top water or buzz.…Get out there and test your baits, try different tatics. Keep a log, make a note of water clarity, temp, wind, baits etc, Good luck
