So if the Carinals win you will buy $50 worth of baits and if the beer makers win each of us buys $10 worth? I will take that!

I'm not specifically a Cardinals fan but I do want to see them make it to the World Series and....I like to bet. I'll take you up on it too, you're on!

Yes we did. There were actually a couple of bets, this one on the NLCS and Bcklash and I on the ALCS. Crig and I also have a bet going on the World Series.
Care to place a friendly wager on the WS?

I got mine today. I won't post pictures yet because I don't want to ruin it for the guys who didn't get theirs yet. Joe I am very thankful for what you did, that was a very cool idea and it's something that I will keep forever as a reminder of not only the Cardinals whipping the Brewers but also as a reminder of the great people on this site. Thank you very much for putting so much thought into the gift.

Jrob78, got your PM. I'm glad you liked it. You were a tough group to buy for , especially at $10 a pop. But I think the monkey we all seem to carry around with us will be happy too, at least for a day or two.(joking)

Thanks a lot Joe! That spoon is about the coolest thing I've ever seen and very fitting, given the circumstances. I will keep mine in it's package and proudly show it off and display it. What a cool gift! I will definitely give the jigs a good work out too!

You know they say it's better to give than recieve....I have a hard time buying into that idea but in this case I really did enjoy it!
It's funny, after I made my thread I did a real quick search to check options just in case. Found these and some safty pin spinner baits, never dreaming I'd need it. Come on, Brewers home record and record in general I felt I could or should have some confidence so I never gave it another thought. We all know what happened and then I couldn't find the spinners at any price and the spoons were like 19 bucks plus shipping and I'm thinking I goofed! Then I check Craigs list (first time ever visiting site) and Boom I found them and I could go like 30, 40 mi. and pick them up. But regretably I couldn't find the Brewer spin baits. So you got the jigs which I really do like alot and use more than any other jig, the finesse alot more than the swimjig but I just started trying swim jigging this year. So I hope you try the jigs you may be surprised. Anyway seeing all three of you got double entries in the match contest I'm confident I'll be challenging at least one of you soon. Remember where my confidence got me last contest. Hey good fishing to all of you and as I mentioned in another post, "I still don't regret finding this forum!" |

Jrob just informed me of my match. See where that confidence thing is getting me. But don't get to relaxed cause I think Walker won this thing a year or two ago. So I'm CONFIDENT I'll still be meeting one of you!
Good fishing to all and have the best weekend you possible can! |
