On board charger
I am getting an onboard charger for my boat , should I mount this in the same compartment as the batterys , which is right next to my gas tank ?

That is where mine is mounted. It is really nice not to have to mess with battery chargers. Just plug it in.

In a normal bass boat, they are mounted close to the batteries. That is where mine is also, on a Triton. I believe most bass boats are the same.

Yep. That's where to mount it. If possible I'd mount it where it is a close to directly under the hatch as possible and leave the hatch open when charging. They get rather warm when charging and that helps the heat dissipate.

Good idea, I never thought about leaving the hatch open. As a matter of fact mine is hookep up right now i think i will go out there and open it .
