Default I want a wicked boat

I want to build a Nasty boat for next year. The guys in my club all have nice fiberglass boats. I want to make a wicked boat that just looks cool. Im into cars and I think I want to build a RAT BOAT ( Rat Rod ) I want a flat black boat with red carpet and seats , the biggest motor an aluminum boat can handle ( I like aluminum ) , do the trailer in flat black to , with red rims. I want it bad...

The darker the carpet the hotter it gets.

That does sound pretty sick CMorg...I have two thoughts in my head already...

1.) A murdered out XPress X21 w/ 250 Rude. Boat and Outboard Painted Satin Black. Red Carpet. Black Tweed seats w/ red inserts. Red LEDs on the deck. Black Trailer with Red Steel Wheels and white wall tires. Run around on plane wearing a matching black full face helmet with tinted glass for that mysterious murderer look.

2.) A rat rod boat along the lines of a ratted delivery truck. Design a wooden hull bass boat that has a 1950s' look to at least teh hull shape. Have a very weathered paint job with a worn logo like "Uncle Bobs Guide Service".. classic outboard...

Im with you man...

Hey lookin good doesnt makeyou a better fisherman... but who says you cant look good just because you wanna?

Yes you are with me... I am glad someone else can visualize what I was throwing around. I like both ideals. Your #1 was my first thought , but today I actually had thought #2 with the older hull and an older outboard ( but still big , and it must run well ). Full resto with new working parts such as bilge , livewell aerator , gauges and newer trolling motor. While I agree that this will not help the fishing , but I think this would be cool.

Not a boat, but when we ran sprint cars we talked about doing one in flat primer black with a duct tape X on it for a number and hauling it around in an open trailer. It would have had a killer engine in it, though!

Remember, speed and cool are just a question of money. How fast do you wanna go and how cool do you wanna look doing it?

Reading this post caused me to spend the last half hour looking thru my archives of airbrushed images searching for the following pics that I thought might help expand on your "Ratboat" design idea.

I'm not the artist, and I can't remember who was or I'd give them props for creating one of the koolest Ratrod paint jobs I've ever seen. Can't you just picture something like this done to your aluminum Ratboat?.....I can
