![]() ![]() The wind has been light and this is a time we really need it. The lake has been like glass and the only relief has been to run the boat. The crappie are starting to show up around the bridges and are getting bigger. A limit is getting a little easier. 16 to 18 feet is the magic depth. Small jigs and minnows are good choices. Remember the Mc Donald tournament is only a month away and this is a good time to put you some brush out on a spot where you wont have twenty boats on you. Find some creek bends and drop you a few brush piles. Most fishermen wont take the time to do this. They will be the ones who will be complaining about all the boats on their favorite spot and you will be sitting out all a alone. This is about the right time to get the brush down so the fish will have a few weeks to relate to it. Jim Reaneau 1-888-918-5088 |
