Wacky Rig
What type of hook is best for the wacky rig?
Do any of you use a bolber when fishing weeds? Thanks, Chris |

You can use just about any hook-some guys like circle hooks and I like a Gamakatsu Extra Wide Gap finesse hook. I don't use a bobber at all, but I recently read an article about fishing a wacky rig under one with good results.

I use the extra wide gap as well 5/0. I love the Wacky Worm, it seems like I can cast it out farther than any other way without usuing a weight.

Weedless:
Gamakatsu Finesse Weedless Hooks link: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...h-results1.jsp "Weed" (lol..) Gamakatsu Drop Shot Hooks (or Split shot hooks) http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...h-results1.jsp BTW, Don't set hooks hard, u don't need any kind sweep. Use "reel set": Simply start reeling as fast as you can, and once you feel the rod starting to bend, or load up, set the hook with a short, fast stroke. Enjoy these hooks for wacky rigged.
