Lilmule, I found the situation hard to believe as well. The prosecutor and the shop owner wanted to make an example out of some kids that didnt even do anything, It was a waste. My first reaction was to the kid, do you really want to go to trial over loitering. He said it was a matter of principal. I said I understand, and did my best.,

You are quite right that they delay things out as a tool for getting people to plead. I see it too much. Its a big con.
