Tournament Trolling Battery
Is it possible to switch out a used battery for a new one in the middle of a tourney? I was wondering this becasue if you wanted to cover ground with a trolling motor all day is this an option if you have more than one battery.

Check the rules to be sure but I have never heard of that not being allowed.

As far as I know there is NO rule prohibiting you from doing this. I have done this SEVERAL times over the years.

I have switched before. Best bet, is keep a charged batt in the compartment, and when you need to open the hatch, disconnect the old and reconnect the new. been done many times.

If there is a rule against it, change clubs. Never heard of it being against the rules either. People have boat problems all the time during tourneys. They get replacement parts, batteries, props, pumps, towed in, just about anything. They just usually can't fish while repairing LOL.
