Butterflies in your stomach and sleepless night.
Capt Dave had a double boat trip this Saturday. A group of four coming from Herndon area had contacted me for a double boat trip. Having never received the deposit I was skeptical they would show up. But 20 minutes before 3pm they called and said they would be 15 minutes late or so. At 3:45 Capt Dave and I enjoyed some outstanding ribs and chicken. At 3:55 they arrived. We fed them and explained how this type of fishing works. Back to 10:am same day... flashback...
I had a sleepless night of dreaming about fishing and the butterflies in stomach reminded me of when I was much younger. I can not explain how excited I get to start Potomac Pike fishing each year. Just like a kid again...Capt Dave texted me and I conveyed my fishing fever. Capt Dave had the same fever as I did. I replied that the only way to cure it was to zero catch that day and if fish are caught well then, I might jump over the edge of reality. So back to the trip, two had fished before and could cast. Each boat had one one of those who could cast. Capt Mike's boat got 6 hits and no fish landed and Capt Dave's boat got 5 hits and no fish landed. Fever cured. Capt Mike
