Jigs/ How do you fish them?
I was wondering if anyone had any tips for fishing a jig. Any advice would be great.

Kevin's advice on color choice is spot on, and I have since used his tip on plucking strands from jig skirts when power fishing, it works wonders. I now get three casts to two before, doesn't sound too special, but over the course it adds up to a lot of bass.

Kevin, I rewatched both those videos last night, and I can honestly say, I can't wait to learn the jig more this year.

With jigs I only fish a crawdad pattern, and for the most part omly use them in cold water, to me when I use them thats what I want to imitate so why not use that look and color. If I want to imitate another prey I use a lure more fit for the job, or in warm water when they are more active, use a faster bait to imitate a crawdad.

I will cast a jig to shore line cover more than I flip or pitch it. A 3/16 or 5/16 blk/blu or green pumpkin color seems to work best for me w/ a twintail grub or brushhog trailer.
