Trout Report
Made it to my favorite trout spot on Taneycomo this weekend. Went for about 2 hours on Saturday and took the old man. Dad and I both limited out (5 each) in that time. Same story on Sunday. All in all, 20 trout and we could have caught many more. Had a few rainbows 15"+
The hawgs are out there though, a 16 1/2 # brown trout was caught not even a mile from where I was. A rainbow weighing in at 10# was caught last week too. I have always considered myself blessed on where I live. Excellent bass, crappie, catfish at Table Rock, and the same with Bull Shoals (throw in a striper or two), and then a helluva trout lake at Taneycomo.

Cool! What did you mean you could have caught many more if the limit is five though?
Take my state as an example and my state is pretty tight (as in stingy, lol). We have a limit of 5 trout per day, all day (in lakes) and anywhere in the sate with bait, released or not. Can you believe that?!!!!! You catch 4 dinks that you would keep and it counts toward your limit. I think you might be permitted to target them for release with artificial lures, but don't quote me on that.

Strange... I had a dream I was trout fishing last night. Only they looked more like lady fish.
Good to know the fishing's been good for ya, haven't been after trout much this year, water's been so hot in the streams it don't seem like they'd be biting well at all.

Great report, but pics would have made it better! I'm quite blessed too, with some great bass spots (Clinch River, Bark Camp Lake, North Fork of Pound Lake), trout (Flannagan Lake, Bark Camp, South Holston Lake, Holston River, Little Pigeon River), catfish (Flannagan, Clinch), walleye & sauger (Clinch, Powell River), gar (Clinch, Powell, Holston), and redhorse (Clinch, Powell, Pound River), and muskie (Clinch, Powell, Flannagan).
