The other thing you can do is get a small tackle box, or other waterproof box, and drill a couple holes in the bottom and bolt it down somewhere in the boat. Just seal the holes so it doesn't leak. Then you won't lose it either.
Since I took my passenger console out I lost my glove box so I got a plastic box for papers or files and put my stuff in a big ziplock bag and stuck that in the back compartment. |

Easy. Build a glove box into the underneath portion of the console. If you go to walmart and look at the rubbermaid and tupperwear containers you may even find something that you can cannibalize in part. I'm thinking especially of the office section which has office organizers with little drawers that pull out made of plastic. I doubt you are gonna drive with your knees under the console, it looks too small for that.
Building it into the underneath of the console will put it in an easily accessible place and make it easier to keep it dry.

Do you drive with your knees under the console? Just give the hub its area and build under that? Its your call, you can see it in person but I have storage all around my rack.
