Castaway are a great rod.Do Yourself a favor and look at the Bud Pruitt series Castaway flipping stick. In my opinion, you won't find a better flipping stick for the money. If you go with a HG-40 series Bud Pruitt, they tend to be softer action than the standard series rating. I have a heavy HG-40 that has action compared to the standard MH series rods.I hope this helps.P N J

http://www.nbswebstore.com/cgi-bin/w...RAPHITE%20RODS and the higher end model HG-40 series http://www.nbswebstore.com/cgi-bin/w...RAPHITE%20RODSI own both, I don't think the HG-40 series is any better than the standard series comparing the 2 when fishing, they are both the best flipping sticks I have found yet.P N J
