A question stolen from another site
If you could fish anywhere...I mean anywhere, where would you choose?
Next, If you could fish with anyone of your choosing, who would it be? Lastly, Would you want to fish the waters you chose in the first question to fish with the person in the second question? As always, whys are nice. I'm willing to start. I had a big list on both questions. Actually put a lot of thought into it. As always, over thinking a simple question. There are a lot of pros I'd like to fish with and actually see them fish waters I already fish. Why, cause I truly want to see a KVD or a Martins or a G-man fish a body of water from the shore, NO BOAT. I truly think they would go about things a lot different then I have. But in reality....I would like to fish with my DAD! Sorry anglers, I'm a softy. My father got sick from a mosquito bite and died when I was young. Never remember us fishing exactly, but I do remember him eating a worm. You know the old trick, open your mouth wide and let the worm down the opposite side of your face, looks like your swallowing the worm. That was forty years plus ago and I can still vividly remember it. Frankly at the time it freaked me out. Next I would choose my mom. She never fished but would go with me and bring a chair and read a book. We did this all the way till I graduated from college. Man did I enjoy these outings. When I was young I still remember running down the bank with a small Northern still dangling from the pole. Man what I'd give to do that just ONE MORE TIME. My mom became an angel two years ago. Actually she was pretty close when she was still on earth. Where, Tournament waters, LaCrosse, Mississippi river. Now as usual I probably should of let others go first but I thought I'd do it different this time. Now this does not mean I'm looking for 'sappy' answers like mine, but if that's your true feelings, that's your true feelings. Plus once you anglers get home from your outings you will share all the new knowledge learned right here with me. So what do you think?

I knew my answer as soon as I read the question and before I got to your answer. Definitely, without a doubt, my dad. He is still with us but in such poor health that I doubt we will ever be able to go again. As wonderful a learning experience as it would be to go with a pro that could teach you many things about fishing, my dad has taught me more about fishing and life than anyone else ever could. Any one of the lakes in FL or TX that produce the hawgs that I see in pics and videos. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to tie into one of those!

I miss fishing with my father more than anything. So fishing with him on Flint Lake near my home would be fantastic. Outside of my dad, I've always thought fishing with Hank Parker on any body of water would be a great time. He's one heck of a guy. And some day, I hope to fish with John on Guntersville. But then, there are a lot of folks in here I would like to fish with. And some I have.

My grand-dad (if he was still with us) and anywhere he wanted. As my mother was giving birth to me he had a stroke (survived it); however, lost his ability to speak and the use of the left side of his body. I never heard him say anything but no and all his kids basically shunned him due to his disability...once I got a license I would take him anywhere he wanted to go and wanted to do. I use to set him up in a lawn chair with a rod and reel, a cooler of beer and never seen him happier. He'd set the hook with his good hand and I'd reel them in for him. I know if he was "fully functional" he would've taught me everything he knew. He had multiple photo albums (pre-stroke) filled with his hunting and fishing adventures.
Today I'd like to travel to Japan and fish their waters for large mouth. I'd take my brother with me. As for pro's I couldn't pick one, many of them have certain attributes I'd pick their brain about. Chris Lane always makes me laugh though and I think I'd like to fish with him. |

You need to set your sights a little higher, Ron. But thank you....I'm honestly really touched.
I would have to say probably Amistad, Falcon, or El Salto, with Edwin Evers. I picked those lakes because of the monster bass, obviously. And E.E. because I really like the guy, the way he seems to be, the way a lot of people who have met him say he really is. I know that those lakes wouldn't suit his strong points, but I think I'd really enjoy being there with E.E.

I would love to fish one of the big bass lakes in Mexico or Falcon with all my friends here. There are 10-15 guys I would love to spend some fishing time with, some I've fished with already and some I haven't.

I was lucky enough to go to every UGA home game in 1980. I'll never forget getting chills watching that rascal run. Amazing talent. I'm guessing a guy like that must like to fish.

Where is tough-a stock tank(Texan for farm pond) nobody has ever fished, a calm, cloudy day on Choke Canyon, Falcon or Amistad (I'm within 3 hours of all of them), maybe the Harris chain in Florida, El Salto-take your pick.
Who with is a no-brainer: My dad. Lost him 10 years ago this Oct. 22. My one regret is I never was able to take him out in my boat. I got it about 6 months after he passed. Although he is gone I did get to make some great memories fishing him while he was still here.

I would fish anywhere.....just as long as my son - and best friend - is with me. Next Monday we are targeting Sturgeon and Striped Bass on the California Delta. Making memories and showing him the ways so he, too, can fish with his kids and get out in the great outdoors. Next up..... Pig Hunt....his first. Nothing finer than a nice peice of country grown Swine and some Fresh caught fish for dinner. Great choice of topic!!!!

No disrespect to our cause here, but the LMB cousin, the peacock in Amazon with my Grandpa who has now passed on. This is a bucket list item for one day, so anyone wanting to go, start saving up.
I just wish I could make an event with a lot of the guys around here. I have met a couple of guys face to face and got to have a good outing with Dirty & Bender. It was worth my wife pitchin' a b1tch when I got home at 3 that morning. I will never tell Dirty....I promise. I would like to make a trip up to Bender's waters and lay back on some small jaws too.

i waited to answer this because there isn't enough space to put down ALL the people i would love to fish with. so first of all, my father. he got me started fishing, so he is at the top of the list. i really enjoy fishing and watching my nephew (haydenbasskid) fish. he is on his way ot becoming a pro, that's really all he wants to do....fish.
now of ocurse i want to fish with each and every member here. some i have fished with, others i haven't...so consider ALL of you here on my list. and of ocurse, i gotta put down roland martin, bill dance, hank parker...just to name a few of the many pros i would love to fish with. so there is somewhat my list. oh, can't forget ol KEVIN. would love ot have him in a rig with me too.

I gotta agree with you, John, about the guys here. I'd fish with any of y'all anytime.
I do regret not getting to fish with Zooker. That would have been a lot of fun.
