Nice fish. Don't you get a little sad knowing that you won't be feelin' that tight line again until the Spring (in less you do a winter road trip down south)?

I grew up in Okla, but relocated to Arkansas about 8yrs ago.....Hands down my favorite lake was Dripping springs lake outside of okmulgee okla. http://www.oklahomaparks.com/detail.asp?id=1-16WR5 Built as a trophy bass lake,I started fishin it as soon as it opened and man what a lake it was.....my second favorite has always been Tenkiller. http://www.laketenkiller.com/
Now that I live in Arkansas I fish a small body of water nearby that resembles Dripping springs only its about 4th its size....Nearby Lake Ouachita is a popular lake located in the middle of a nation forest so its pristine forest right up to the banks....nuthin but nature. http://www.arkansasstateparks.com/lakeouachita/ If your lookin for trophy bass in Arkansas I hear theres only two lakes to concider....Monticello http://www.arkansas.com/lakes-rivers/lake/id/20 and Millwood. http://www.arkansasstateparks.com/millwood/ I've yet to fish either but hope to at some point. PS...thats a nice bass to end the season on....congrats |

nice fish. if you go to oklahoma you guys have to go to grand lake. i live about an hour from there and fish it all the time, and it's a great lake.

i would reccomend mid to late april or any time in may. last year was some unusual weather but if this years weather is better that should put you in the middle of some great fishing. you should find some good flipping and pitching and crankbait action and maybe some topwater by then as well.
