lippless baits in the winter.
Take along look at the Ambush Stealth Diver. It is the most effective lippless crankbait that i've ever used. Instead of rattles it works on the princpal of vibration. Which i have to say is the most effective for winter time bass lure that i've ever used. Maybe it's the suprize of a stealth like aproach that triggers fish. I don't know but i know i've never caught more cold water bass in a single outting then with this lure. http://www.ambushlures.com/entry.html

That ugly thing boated 30 bass this last Saturday in 3 1/2 hrs. I was using the red fire tiger color. By the way who cares if it's ugly or not. It for sure can catch bass. To me that's all that counts.

I remember reading about that lure in In-Fisherman a few years ago. Forgot all about it. Thanks for the heads up

I use mine in deep water only. Love to work it around the dam slow roling & bumping rocks here & there.
