o well had a blast
Well was going to post some pics but can't with my phone so mite do it it when I get home. Went fishing for the first time this year, and was looking forward to catching some nice fish. Catching nice fish wasn't in the cards and i played almost every hand I had. All I managed was 1 spot barely bigger than my hand. But it was my first fish of the year, first for my new boat and had fun.

I can just imagine how it must have felt getting out in your new boat on a warmer than normal January day. I'm looking forward to the pics.
I'm glad to hear that you had fun. You'll get 'em next time. -Mark |

I get really irritated after not catching anything all day, but I try and not let it get to me. It seems the more frustrated you get the worse the fishing.

I went yesterday for 8 hours and my dad caught the only fish of the day. High of almost 70, surface temp was 51.2, near a full moon too. I just knew we'd do good at a small lake we generally do well on. All the lily pads were gone. Water murkier than normal and two feet higher than the last time we fished it back in around October. I gave it everything I had to land one the first time out this year and fell short unfortunately. I spoke to another fella fishing and he landed two (one 5 and one 3) C-rigging a fluke fishing it slow and missed two he said he should have landed. The year is still young and A LOT of fishing left to do yet I was gonna put up a pic but it wants a http address?
