War Eagle makes quality spinnerbaits and Strike King is second on my list. This is all a repitition of what Bama said though.
War Eagle spinnerbaits are my go to blade.

War Eagle is my favorite spinnerbait, they are available in so many styles, sizes, colors, and blade combinations that you can find exactly what you are looking for. They aren't the cheapest spinnerbaits on the market but not all that high either and they are made with very high grade components.
Booyah also makes a pretty good spinnerbait but in my opinion they aren't as good as War Eagles.

I like terminator, SK pro model, and BOOHYA. Terminator being my faves. I've never used WE spinnerbaits, but they look really good, I'd like to get some.
btw, Do you know how to pick out a spinnerbait, like blade a color combos?

I like Booyah's and Strike King Premier Plus, and a few of the newer SK KVD series.

My overall go to spinnerbait is a Booyah. For clear water I like the KVD Scorcher from Strike King.

Terminator T-1 for the wire, always runs straight. I think the blades are the best on any spinnerbait out there. I've changed out the blades on other brands with the Terminator blades, and I think it improves the times they get hit. The one thing I don't really like are the Terminator skirts, I change mine out to a skirt similiar to the War Eagle brand skirt. I guess I'm using a hyrid, War Eagle Terminator (WET), kinda applies.
Another one I like is the "Live Wire" from MOAB Custom Baits. I actually won a contest to name the new spinnerbait (on another board) so the "Live Wire" is mine (LOL). This bait is a short wire, 1/2 oz bait with smaller than "normal" blades. The painted head is like no other I've seen. This lure, for me, is a "speciality" bait, it truely shines when burned over grass - it's made to run fast, not a slow roller type bait. Not too pricey either for such a quality bait. check them out at http://www.moabcustombaits.com/. |

It is really funny to me how detailed most companies get when they are painting the heads of their spinnerbaits. Take a look at most of the bigger brands out there and notice how much work is put into painting the heads with gills, scales, eyes, and so on. Most of the time when a spinnerbait is fished right it is moving so fast that the fish just catches a glimps of the bait as it flashes by, causing a reaction bite. In most cases the fish will never have a chance to take a good long look at the head of the spinnerbait and decide if it looks natural or not. This will however sell more spinnerbaits for these companies because they sure do look pretty lol. By the way, this is just an observation on my part. I'm not saying this is a bad thing at all, I just think it is another detail that a lot of anglers put too much stock in. I mean having a nice pretty painted head on a spinnerbait isn't going to hurt at all, but it probably won't get you any more bites either.

Anyone tried the most expensive spinnerbaits on the market yet? Yep, the LC Redemption spinnerbaits.
Personally, I wouldn't pay $15 bucks for a spinnerbait. A crank maybe, but not a spinnerbait.

Detail, some like it some don't care. My opinion is that minnow heads with an eye make a difference, and do get me more bites over a plain cone headed bait. I like the painted heads that match the skirt, creating a more natural overall image, rather than a solid conehead bait that may or may not match the skirt and look un-natural. Custom (or Commercial) makers that use quality components and take the time to detail the head indicates a pride of workmanship and while not a sole indicator of quality, if the entire bait looks natural I'm likely going to choose it over another that isn't so. That's just what works for me.

Unless it was a spinnerbait guaranteed to not break, I wouldn't either. Then again if there was a blade on the market that wouldn't break there is no telling how much I would pay for it.

True, but if somehow they could add that feature I would pay hundreds 50% of the time when I break a spinnerbait I get half the bait back so proof wouldn't be to bad to produce.

That sounds like the Rapala DTs. Cast out a crankbait, reel back a lip. BB

I'm really kind of new to using spinnerbaits myself (I can count my spinnerbait catches on one hand still), but I like the build quality of the Terminator spinnerbaits.
