P-line
Just got this new line from walmart and spooled it up on my extreme. What do yall think of this line? I have never tried it before so any input is welcomed.
also, they didnt have any mono, so i got copolymer. it looks and feels just like mono, what the difference? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...=SearchResults |

It sounds like that the line is easily tangled, but can hold up to a certain point of pressure. I wouldn't buy it just because I tend to use spinning reels a lot more then baitcasters. This line is for baitcasters, and other lines that I use like Trilene are for spinning reels.

now i recently have spooled two reels with p-line. one the halo in 15 pound test the other wth 12 pound evolution.
other than the kinkyness which takes getting used to. floro tends to cast a bit differantly than mono.. so far so good with it.. zooker

This is one of the only kinds of line I use. The CXX in 12 pound, and then the Cajun Red 14lb.
Both excellent lines!

P-Line, Mono, Flourocarbon
First, I love p-line, I have used it over 10 years, I think it is one of the better nylon mono lines on the market (no I am not sponsered by them) it does take a little getting use to due to it's stiffness over some of the more limp lines out there, but I believe if you tie the right knot it is as strong as most anything on the market, I use it on my baitcasting reels
10-12lb for crankbaits, 14-17 lb texas rigged plastics, 20lb+ jigs. If you throw top water nylon mono or braid is really the only way to go, flourocarbon sinks and will alter the action of most topwater baits. Here is a really good article concerning attributes of flouro and nylon monofiliments, http://tackletour.com/reviewfluorocarbontest.html yes they are both mono (single extruded line) yet made from two different polymers. I use flourocarbon ONLY for dropshotting in very clear water. My home water isn't very clear most of the time and I do not see any benefit in spending big money for the additional invisibilty. My second favorite nylon mono is Big Game, and quite honestly I still use it and probably always will, for the money it may be the best deal going.
