How often before you change baits?
How often do you guys spend fishing one bait if it isn't working. I usually give baits about 7 minutes in one area at a time before I am switching or doing something different......I have gotten some really big sacks of fish by doing this....sometimes it works also because there will be a ton of fish in a area and if you switch a couple of times you can get somemore that wouldn't hit on about 3 or 4 other baits....Other times I have failed miseralby because I switch too soon....SO HOW LONG BEFORE YOUR SWITCHING?

I base when I change on the condtions. If its unsteady pressure, really sunny, front coming through then I'll throw my confidence bait all day. It all depends on what the condtions are for me.

depends on whats working, struture, ect.. some change every 10-15 mintues. i like tag teaming 2-3 differant rods. say your fishing docks worm, jig,in round the docks then a crank or spinner bait between them repeat as need ..

i start picking up dif rods and present dif. lures that way, then if that won't produce, i start switching lures about 20-30 minutes of fan casting

I have several different rods rigged with different baits so all I have to do is set one down and pick up another. Like Zooker said, I constantly change rods until I find something that works, then I fish that pretty hard.

I rig 3 vertical baits and 3 horizontal baits. You can change rods to find a prefference and the fine tune your fishing.

Gotta go with the above. Have 4-5 set ups on the deck. Fancast w/ each, Get a hit or curious bump throw something similar w/ different action. If nothing from all them, then start switching.

I have fished a jig an entire day without a bite before.I have so much confidence in fishing the jig, I know its just a matter of time before I catch fish on it.I took personal inventory and I decided that I had better learn something else. I then switched to using a senko with the jig, which really helped .If they didn't want a bottom presentation, I could catch them on a senko.Last 3 years, I have really gone hog wild on learning different lures. In short, learn lures that fish different water colums, and fish different baits in the same area even though one lure might be working well, you might catch a better fish on a different lure.I Think I have become a better fisherman, because I am not content to just be catching fish, I have learned that if I keep moving even though I am catching fish, I sometimes find bigger fish to catch. The important thing is to never quit learning, never quit fishing and if you haven't got a bite of some sort within half and hour, your better off moving and then trying the spot again later on.P N J
