Oddly I would have thought brown tout would be after rainbows as can take slightly warmer water.

I wonder about whether the water temps for spawning are a national average? I have no doubt that northern bass spawn in cooler water temps than southern bass. I know I've seen bass up here in northern Indiana on beds well before the water ever hit 69 degrees.
