As the name says, Rodman Reservoir, one of THE BEST TROPHY bass fishing lakes in the country. Missed a 5 pounder on a topwater. Stopped on the side of the road where Deepwater Creek and Sweetwater Creek meet, CR 310, just stopped to make a few casts as I was making a long drive. Make a few casts with the buzzbait. Going around weedbeds, isolated timber, bridge pilings, and flooded brush produced nothing. An older man pulls up and starts talking to us. I'm half turned around listening to him and not paying complete attention to the lure. Next thing I know I feel TUG TUG on my rod, set the hook and it was too late. Bad hookset and he got off just as fast as he had it. Got a good look at his tail. All black buzzbait, middle of the day. So yeah, I'm from Central Florida.
