They've been living off the first 2 movies for 20 something years. I had avoided star wars until earlier in the year, I was able to watch formerly all 5 in succession, and while the first 3 were moderatly entertaining based on strong acting performances, episode 1 and 2 were beyond terrible. I will see episode 3 for the hell of it eventually, but I don't expect lucas to pull himself out of the hole hes created.

I'll second WTL on this one. The original three were pretty good movies due to very good acting. It was actually somewhat interesting because the characters were real people with attitudes (like han solo and princess leiah totally hating eachother). Episodes 1 and 2 were terrible, crappy acting and the parts just plain weren't well written.

i probally wont see it till im flippin thru HBO or MAX and its on. i have no disire payin any money to see it. im just amazed at how people camp out for weeks out side the theaters. they need to get a life!!! i could have so much fun talkin crap about star wars around those guys ;D they would probally pull their lightsaver(is it saver or saber?) out on me...lmfao ;D

As usual, the originals are always better than the sequels, or in this case, prequels. The last two just didn't stack up to the 3 originals, and I doubt this latest one will, either. The special effects were better in the latest ones, but I liked the story in the originals. They always reminded me of a space-aged western.

They did! It's called BASSMASTERS, and it's on TV on Saturday morning! It's a true life adventure about a group of professional fishermen competing to see who catches the most pounds of fish and gets the biggest check. The best part is that there is a sequel the following saturday.

Episode 3 was decent, although I thought the beginning had some corny acting.

I like that it tied together all of the loose ends and made everything make sense. But come on, if Windu can defeat the Emporer, and Yoda can't... hhmm.

Episode 3 I though was as good a movie as in the whole franchise. The acting still wasn't quite on par with Ford or Guiness, but it was improved - and there was actually a momentum to the plot - they were working towards something. The other 2 just meandered through some crappy special effects for 2 hours each.
