Hi All,
Found this site this morning and after checking out some of the posts, just had to join. You folks are great, love the info. I made up this scent last summer and it works pretty well, it is also cheap. I go to the dollar store and buy a bottle of olive oil, garlic salt, and petroleum jelly. Melt the jelly in a pot of hot water, (becareful, it may catch fire) I do mine on grill outside. Once the jelly is melted add garlic salt and oil stir this up and take off heat. Once mixture is hard, I put the mess eh creation into a travel soap holder, plastic from the dollar store. When fishing I use a small foam brush to apply the mixture to the lure. My son puts the lure into the dish, presses the lid down and the lure is covered. I know this sounds strange but I got the idea from the Bass Professor, Doug Hannon. Besides! It is 20 degrees outside, with a foot of snow. I need to do something to get rid of the cabin Fever : ![]() |
