Default Fishing BEFORE church tomorrow!

Yep, this involves getting up about 3:30 am and making first cast before 4:00 am. This won't beat the crack of dawn up here, but it will be early enough to get some action in!

I am sure hoping the pond is still, like it was this evening. A thanks to lizards, as one of the lures he sent me was getting some bites today (6 inch slug-go.) Jittermouse and popper got no hits.

All hits at the pond right up at the bank, probably by spawning bass guarding a nest. Now, I know that fish don't sleep the same way we do (just kind of go dormant and rest), but are they... "awake"... all of the time to guard the bed?
If so, I'm considering wasting little time in hitting these banks again, especially where I was today. Some great cover in some grasses on the bank near wood as well, what a great spot for largemouth bass it is.

Otherwise, I might try some deeper casts too... what are your thoughts?
