Default New to Site, Some scent hints

Hi All,
Found this site this morning and after checking out some of the posts, just had to join. You folks are great, love the info.
I made up this scent last summer and it works pretty well, it is also cheap.
I go to the dollar store and buy a bottle of olive oil, garlic salt, and petroleum jelly. Melt the jelly in a pot of hot water, (becareful, it may catch fire) I do mine on grill outside. Once the jelly is melted add garlic salt and oil stir this up and take off heat. Once mixture is hard, I put the mess eh creation into a travel soap holder, plastic from the dollar store. When fishing I use a small foam brush to apply the mixture to the lure. My son puts the lure into the dish, presses the lid down and the lure is covered.
I know this sounds strange but I got the idea from the Bass Professor, Doug Hannon. Besides! It is 20 degrees outside, with a foot of snow. I need to do something to get rid of the cabin Fever : :'(
