New fenwick in my future

I have decided on the Fenwick HMX 6 ft 6 or so in a M. It will be mostly used for spinnerbating, cranking, and topwater, with the occasional jig and the ocassional tiki stik or senko, Should I get it in MH or M? The reel is going to be the Tournament ZX or The Prodigy, not quite sure- i read reviews and compared the rods and reels, and IMO the fenwick is cheaper, but since I own 2 fenwicks, I decided to stick with what company works for me. This is a casting setup, so I was thinking along the line of 17 lb mono, is that TOO much for Jersey?
