Default prop question

I have a 17 pitch prop on my new yamaha and I can go about 44 but when I was on the lake the other day I went up to 5200 RPM's. I still had about 1/4 of the throttle not yet used up and it will probably go over 5500 RPM's which is the maximum. I think that I should go up to a 19 pitch on it so it won't have as many RPM's. I think it is a 14.5 x 17 propeller. Planing off slower isn't much of an issue for me. Should I go up to the higher pitch?

Should I keep with the three blade or go with a 4-blade?
