Default big fish

Today i was fishing at a farm pond and my topwater frog and a spinnerbait didn't work out and i had some live nightcrawlers in the car so i decided to hook one up and put a bobber on, well i casted out and casted over a log..i didn't want it to get tangled in the log so i started reeling in and right about the time i got to the log my bobber went under and i started reeling in and thought it was the log and once i got it to the bank(about four foot high and i had no net) to my surprise it was a huge bass(i know you guys say that its usually smaller than your guess but this was a big fish) i'm guessing it was around five pounds and my stupid *** decided to grab the line and start pulling up and my 14 lb. test line snapped at the hook................................i'm still crying(woulda been my biggest fish)right after that i went to wal-mart and got a net and a digital scale...i will be going back tomorrow so i'll post maybe some pics if i can catch some decent sized ones.
