Well looks like Lizards was right about a lot of pro's locking through from wheeler lake to fish guntersville. In fact, 9 out of the top 10 anglers caught their limits on guntersville. That is incredible considering how long a boat ride it is from the decatur launch point. I hope they don't start to look too far to the west as well, tomorow I'm heading to Pickwick.

all that locking and running 40,60,or more miles really baffles me.i carry 13 gals of fuel in my gambler...150hp motor..haven't run out of fuel yet.

Well my guy Art is 13th, still definately in contention ;D How hard would it be to cull a 3.5 lber and a 4lber What a day of fishing that would be 8) Just wondering if anyone knows what percentage of weight a fish losses after spawning? Perhaps some of those 8 pounders would have been double digit bass if they were full of eggs?

Yeah Lizards! I talked to Art after the weigh in yesterday and he is pretty excited!!!

Their are a ton of folks ganged up at 17 - 18 pounds, so another good day can send him into the weekend!!

I agree Tom, they don't need to lock through to G'ville. Its not like wheeler is a bad lake or anything. They are wasting valuable fishing time driving. I kinda thought the guy who wins would be the guy who figured out what the bass on wheeler are doing.

And I just got back from pickwick...when I got to the ramp I was the only one there (that is super rare for mcfarland, although people really showed up later int he day). Caught a little bit of everything, largemouth, spots, smallmaouth, white bass, a big stripe, bream and even a dang catfish. Weird day, no real pattern, just lots of casting for about 14 hours and every now and then a spare fish would hit whatever I was throwing.

even tournaments on the st.johns, many of the anglers lock through to Rodman, and most usually end up winning, and St. Johns is damn good fishing.
