Re: the basics
Heck ya. I'm only about 25 miles from kinkaid. Those darn muskie flat put the damper on the bass fishin for awhile. It's on it's way back though.

Re: the basics
I never muskiefished it but a buddy of mine caught one in a tourney a couple years ago.
As far as the bass, about 8-10 years ago we were catching an occasional 7 Every now and then you would hear about one in the 8 lb range. Now if you catch one 5-6 lbs its a pretty good one. But the bass population is coming up. |

Re: the basics
Word up, monster...
Go fishin every chance u get, man... For example, I wasnt planning on going fishin one day, cause I thought it wasn't a good day to fish, (windy, cold, rainy) but my friend talked me into it... That day was one of the best days on the water.. I successfully caught a number of decent fish! I dont want to even think about what would I have missed if I stayed at home, and watch the good day tick by... Also, use topwater poppers in the fall months... They catch back to back fish on early morning and late afternoon times. Make sure that the water level is either a little bit below average, or normal... I've never caught any fish on poppers when it is flooded. Buzzbaits are also good, good luck with Bassin' (It's the new people that get most of the big fish) lol seaphantom |
