It is 6-2. It's just to hard to tell from a pic. He's a pretty good size guy maybe it was that big. If not it's the biggest he's caught. Maybe the scale was wrong and he just read what it said he doesn't have anything to compare it to. Alot of other options than just calling B.S. At any rate the guy was excited about his biggest fish. He's having fun and thats what matters.

Fishie I live in Nor Cal althought we have big bass were not socal home of the 20lbers. I just dont like seeing weights uped! I have fished in NJ alot my mom's family lives there. I have cought a 6lber there and plenty of 4's! Dont think we can just catch 5lbers out here all day everywhere else I have fished other than ca. is much easier to catch fish since ca. bass are active year round and see much more pressure than most of the state there not at all easy to catch. If you tired of not catching big bass move! I dont live in ca. because it is nice or has cheap stuff. No this place is expensive to live at and I am here for 1 reason ;D

Didn't know and I agree with you(TM) that it is not that big really. I catch a lot of 5 to 6lbers too but I wish I could put them up on here for you guys to see. Don't have a digital camera.

Fishie,
Most people think Ca. is just overflowing w/ big boy's and it is there just hard to catch! In most torneys around here you may see 2 fish over 5 and a occasional over 10. The biggest advantage to ca. is the year round fishing. PS get a digital camera! I just got mine late last spring so all those pic's minus the first pic are about a year old. Tight Lines |

That is a beautiful bass! Congratulations on catching a new personal best. I hope you can keep catching more bass and see if you can get an even bigger personal best!
![]() And yeah, in some areas, a 5 lb bass is considered rather large. Considering that largemouth bass lose weight in water below 50, maintain 50-60, and grow 60+, some areas have a period where fish slowly lose weight. Catch a 6 lb bass here, and it's a trophy. |
