Re: tubing!!!!!!!
ZOOKER,
Those are "Shaw Grigsby" Hooks, and are only made by Eagle Claw. Shaw designed them specifically for plastic baits to keep the baits from sliding down the hook. Eagle Claw was the first to build them for him, so I guess that either Shaw or Eagle Claw patented them. (And thats the rest of the story) JackL |

Re: tubing!!!!!!!
While not quite the same,
Daiichi makes a hook called the Copperhead. It is a wide gap hook with a Brass Coil at the hook eye to screw into the nose of the bait, then Bury the hook as usual. It is very effective, and you almost have to rip the bait up to get it off the coil. Holds very well. You can see it at www.daiichihooks.com , to see if it is what tou like. I am not sure who else makes this style of hook, but they work..I must say i have never used the HP hook. Charles |

Re: tubing!!!!!!!
ZOOKER,
BPS sells the the coils that BASSBOSS is talking about by themselves. You can hook them into the eye of any brand of hooks that you prefer. Makes it easy to snap one on and not have to change hooks or re-rig everything when changing from one bait to another. JackL |

Re: tubing!!!!!!!
Zooker-I learned this from a guide down here-take a small bell sinker and insert it in the tube so the brass loop of the sinker is up at the head of the tube. T-rig it like you normally would, but when you insert the hook make sure the point of the hook goes through the brass loop of the sinker. The sinker not olny holds the hook in place and keeps the tube from sliding down on the hook it also eliminates the need for an external weight.
