Glide Strips on trailer Bunks
I have a 20foot bass boat.
when I launch the boat or put it back onto the trailer it is a pain in the *$@#*& you get the idea...Someone said glide strips would help and would not hurt my gel coat. Anyone using them or used them in the past? Thanks top |

Re: Glide Strips on trailer Bunks
TOPWATER.
I have heard good things about them, as far as loading a boat, but nothing was said about any damage to the gel coat. I do know that you should have your boat well tied down before driving up the ramp, or your boat could slide off the bunks. I don't have any touble loading my Ranger, as long as it is backed in to where the water is almost up to the top of the fenders. I can drive all the way to the stop. Possibley you would not have trouble if you backed in a little farther with your trailer. Ed Ition |

Re: Glide Strips on trailer Bunks
Hi topwater17.
You do not mention if you drive off or drive onto your trailer. If you do, tell your driver to back you as far as he can, then start your motor and back your self off the trailer. When loading your boat onto the trailer, make sure that you wet all your bunks that way it makes it a little less frustating. Once onto the trailer just attache the strap to the eye on the bow that way you are sure that the boat will not slide off. |
