soft bait glue
i just got my order from alabama lakes the other day.ordered a bottle of pro's soft bait glue...that stuff is awesome.
i have some yum craws(the big and small).slit them up the back and stuck a jig head in there and glued it back together.i have a s*** pot full of jig heads that the skirts came off and didn't want to chuck them, and i always had trouble keeping the craws on a hook or a jig. put 'em both together.look like they should work pretty good. |

Re: soft bait glue
Tom I was always a super glue user. It works pretty good. I was fishing with Lizardsrule this spring. I can't remember if I forgot my glue, it was dried up, or what ever. Lizards had some of that fishing glue. I guess it was the same brand. Man there is no comparison. That stuff is awesome.

Re: soft bait glue
Might have to pick some up. Im still just melting them w/ a lighter and molding them back together. Your idea sounds safer................well as long as I keep my drawers on. 8)

Re: soft bait glue
Hi BassinTom & others,
Just to make your life a little easier with those jig skirts, put the skirts on without glue and then place a smideon of glue on the push pin, and touch the band. It will wick into the joint and in a second be set. Same with replacing spinnerbait skirts. Same with prerigging if you do that with knots and other rigs etc. Applying PSGGlue to a Texas rig after you've rigged your worm on is so much easier than trying to slide the baits down and then get them back into place. Just place a drop where the line comes out of your soft bait and believe it or not, PSBglue will wick into the bait all the way down to your knot in the soft bait. Then, add another drop to the head of your soft bait and slide your steel or lead bullet head down on it and viola' no pegging is required. ** NOTE: To remove the bullet, just get a dull hook and push it under the bullet weight and work it around a little and you can slide it up and out of the way without ruining the soft bait... Even braided lines also... BTW, we haven't found any fishing lines that PRO's Soft~Bait Glue will weaken or make it brittle. Not in here much but, caught this thread and thought I'd stop and make your lives a little easier... Hope this helps out and if you ever need more info we have a FAQ page or just write me personally.... Glad you're all enjoying your glue. Have a Great Day! Mike ;D |
