He led wire-to-wire, too. Outstanding job on his part.

I was hoping to see a Big Fish during the weigh in, was kinda disappointed. Congrats anyway, good 3 day total.

I can't help but feel let down at how... calm he accepted his award. KVD has won all sorts of tournaments and he stilled jumped and yelled and celebrated. I dunno, I'd be alot more excited then Luke was if I just won half a million bucks. It's too bad that he's not going to be back next year. He already signed on to fish the FLW series (that's why he turned down the Mega Bucks tournament). Gonna be weird next year not having a defending Champion.

kinda ironic how calm the winner was, and how wild the last place finisher was.

Dang, I haven't been on in forever, been really busy. Anyway, I went to the Classic last week, it was simply awesome. I stayed for the weigh in on the last day right by where Shaw Grigsby, Byron Velvick, and that other guy were doing the show on ESPN. I got about 3 free Berkley hats, they were handing out thousands of those, every person in the entire crowd had a red berkley hat on, it was actually kinda funny. ALso, since it was the last day there were a number of the eliminated anglers just walking around, talking to people. I wanted to talk to Ish Monroe for a mminute b/c it was only me and him in one of the hallways as we were leaving, but it was obvious he was in a rush so I didn't stop him. Just going to the whole thing made me realize how much I appreciate bass fishing because the pros are just regular people that you can talk to for a few minutes if you ever see them, they're not unapproachable snobs like in any other sport.
Anyways, Clausen deserved the win. They faced harsh changing conditions and he managed to keep a pattern that worked throughout the entire event, something that almost no one else could do.
