Re: under a building
Scott, that might be a good place to go weightless. You may be getting hung up on guy wires, brush that has washed in there, any number of things. A weightless bait like a Senko may come through it better.

SCOTT,
Not trying to tell you how to run your business, but why are you fishing a worm with a 1/4 oz weight? Try downsizing to a 1/8 if you can cast it. You will get a slower fall on the worm and it will hang up less. I know that the opinion is split on this, but I always peg my weights, no matter what I am fishing. I find that I get hung up a lot less with a pegged weight. JackL |

You could fish a pig-n-jig along those pilings, but what reb said, weightless woulrd work well.

A superfluke would work well.

You might try Drop shotting it also. That way the only thing you will be out is the sinker. But as was said before, I wouldn't use that big of a sinker. Also with drop shotting, you will keep the lure in the bass's Zone better.

Re: under a building
skip a senko or a fluke under there as far back as you can get
dead stick it for approx 30 seconds if you do land a bass skip it right back under there we were fishing docks the other night at a lake and we ended up taking 13 bass off 3 docks in about 20 minutes so do not leave a dock just because you landed 1 bass off it,, |

what is pegging a weight and how do you do it [/quote] pegging a weight is holding it in place on the line with an object the simplest to use is a rubber band set the lure and weight where you want them then just tie the rubber band above the weight, then clip off the excess OR you can use a toothpic, or the many commercial pegging systems out there but a rubber band can peg a lot of weights for a really low cost and you usually get them free with your morning news paper ;D |
