Re: St.Croix vs. G-Loomis
Wow,
that means that G-Loomis and Shimano (the most expensive rod and reeling in the business) are merged together to form one big rod and reeling busting team. -StetsD |

St. Croix is all I ever use. I have several premiers and one legend elite. Wish I could afford more of those.

Re: St.Croix vs. G-Loomis
STETS,
St Croix is a very good rod, but I would suggest that you go to a store that handles both brands and pick up one of each in each hand, then make your own decision. JackL |

Re: St.Croix vs. G-Loomis
st. croix makes a great rod and so does a g-loomis. I prefer st. croix. I tested about every flippin stick at my local tackle shop. they left me take them out in the parking lot and try them with my Curado. I ended up picking a 7ft st. Croix. Best rod i ever bought.

Re: St.Croix vs. G-Loomis
St. Croix is by far the better rod. G-loomis might be more expensive, but that doesn't mean anything between these two rods. G-loomis used to be unbreakable rods that were of the highest quality. Unfortunately they turned into a high dollar low quality company. Besides money, and the amount of breakage with the loomis, the St. Croix are far more sensitive.
