good Fall fishing
the bass bite's been great.
I dont even want to think about this, but when is this time of good fishing going to be over? At what point does it get cold enough, so the bite slows down? I need to know, because I just found a pond that is swamped with bass, and hate the fact that winter's near. (im down here in GA, for those who don't know) seaphantom |

Re: good Fall fishing
I don't know anything about GA, but from my experience it's when the water gets to about 50 degrees, is when it's starts getting pretty tough to catch em here in Indiana. Of course a lot of other factors will key into this also. Such as the baitfish quality and quantities.

Re: good Fall fishing
looks like i wont have to worry about the fish slowing down then i dont think the water even gets down to 55. is there a different temperature range where the fish slow down in different water temps

Re: good Fall fishing
I've heard that the spawn starts as early as late january in florida, so I doubt that the fishing slows down that much.
I would think that most of georgia is like alabama. The fishing is good through november here, but around december it normally goes south and stays south through January. February is a fine month however for those pre-prespawn lunkers, so if you can last 2 months you'll be fine. |
