Need help finding a softbait
The Assault Premium Bass Lures company seems to be no longer. They listed their address as Goleta, CA but no longer comes up on any internet search I am doing.
But anyhow I am down to my last bag and these little guys get the job done, does anyone know of anyone else making a curl tail version of the lures pictured? I am finding ribbed lures but none with the curtail. When I dip those tails it really works for me. |

Not exactly what you're looking for, but close:

I'm a LFT fan so great advice from USM.
LFT had these in 6" before too. But easily cut to what ever length you you want. Hyper-Worms are great too. Try dipping the paddle only, these things got action. Bigbites are good. They also have a Disc Worm and 6" curly taiil While there check into these too. Couple other ideas http://www.basspro.com/Kalins-Lunker...ct/13048/86684 http://www.basspro.com/Zoom-Soft-Pla...m#BVQAWidgetID Try searching Ribbed grubs. The difference is grubs can be thicker body than your actually looking for with a worm plastic, sometimes anyway. Good luck on your search.

Here's some similar alternatives... Hope you find what you're looking for, or at least a replacement.

Nice finds bassboss!
JD- I've never used LFT baits, but I do like the looks of them. May have to give them a whirl! Is the color as bright as they are in the pictures? NOTE: Not trying to hijack the thread... |

You Found It!
BassBoss you the man. Not only are these close they are the exact ones from Assault. I had a contact at Robo and called them up, she called me back and said that the molds were bought from Assault when they merged. Thanks man a real home run.

I was going to say look at the Robo's, but it's been said, and they're proven fish catchers.

FYI...Was on the Big Hammer website, checking out jig heads and swimbaits and saw that they sell a "Ringer Worm" that fits the bill, and is on blow out sale right now.

Zoom makes a similar worm in lots of different sizes and colors. I like the 6 1/2" dead ringer. I didn't see them on Tacklewarehouse, but you can find them here: http://www.landbigfish.com/Zoom-Bait...ead-Ringer.cfm

Thanks guys!!!
After reading this thread, I dug out two packages of Zipper worms that I bought almost 10 years ago and haven't used since. Took em to a lake that has produced on Senkos all summer, but the bite came to a halt about 3 weeks ago. Been out 3 times since, with both 4" and 5" Zippers and NAILED fish each time! The amount of water they displace and the way they fall is KILLER! Caught fish on the drop and by swimming them over subsurface weeds.
