Re: what'll they think of next
If ever boat on the lake had one then the fish would get confused and just run in circles, right?

Next comes the "fish extractor"...a conveyor like device that you put in the water and the fish are loaded into the boat automatically...no reel required! ;D

It seems to me I just read something about one of the pros plugging this thing. He said I wasn't catching anything till I switched it on etc.. Sounded about like the worst sales pitch I've ever heard. :P

Re: what'll they think of next
I believe in the Bert and Ernie method from Sesame Street. Just stand up in the boat and yell Heeeeerrrrrrrrre fishy, fishy, fishy. It's amazing how the bass just jump up into your boat! Do you think I could patent that?

Re: what'll they think of next
In all seriousness...I think this product probably works..."Why?" you may ask....Because for the same reason that fish are attracted to the RIGHT ultrasonic sounds.....THEY ARE DEFINATELY PUT OFF BY THE WRONG ULTRASONIC SOUNDS. My theory was tested with a select control group of Largemouth. Do not....I repeat....DO NOT, relieve bodily gasses on an aluminum boat seat....I have discovered that the amplification factor involved with the aluminum does in fact sound like the gutteral low pitched vibration of a 6 foot long Aligator Gar on the hunt.....every Bass in the county will haul a** for cover. ;D

It's crap
I don't believe in that "catch 10 times more fish with 10 times less effort" crapp I believe in 'real' fishing
If they keep making this stuff, then the defenition of "fisherman" will soon shrink dramatically... seaphantom |

Re: what'll they think of next
It is amazing what knowledge and wisdom can come
from those who would rather talk than spend one minute thinking about a given subject. Biosonix, a gimmick? What rationale would cause you to think such nonsense? Do you understand that bass and other gamefish have very complex sound and vibratory sensory organs? What do you think they use them for? Let me give you a clue. They use them to detect the presence and condition of prey for one thing. Does that connect with you and your idea of fishing? Let's see now, what possible sounds and vibrations would a bass and other predator fish be responsive to? What about the sounds of schools of baitfish? Think that might interest them? What about the sounds of other predators attacking baitfish and other prey? Think that might activate their competitive instincts? Maybe your trolling motor makes more natural sounds which stimulate fish in a positive sense and not stress them out. Perhaps your 150- 200 HP motor constantly cranking up (looking for "biting fish" a positive stimulator for fish. What about your sonar? Do you know that sonar kills fish at certain levels? Don't worry, yours is not that powerful and only stresses them out making it harder for all of us to catch them. The truth is that we introduce all kinds of intrusive, unnatural, stressful noise coming from technologies that are all about overpowering the fish or "hunting them down" with unnatural sonar. There's nothing wrong with these technologies in general, but they are reaching a point of diminishing returns for fishermen because they increase stess on fish and make them more fearful of us and our lures, just like land animals when conditioned by hearing certain unnatural sounds they associate with danger, which are most all of the sound we produce in the water. Biosonix on the other hand produces only natural sound and vibration which IS a POSITIVE stimulus to fish, not stressful which is the case for most all other of our "advanced" technologies. Biosonix is also very technique oriented just like fishing lures, the results will depend on the sounds, and playback techniques used which are almost limitless, just like sounds are in nature. One thing you find out quickly about BSX is that those who don't have one spend a lot more time running around the lake, frustrated, and looking for "biting fish." Without BSX you need to do so many times because you have to fish numerous locations to catch a smaller percentage of fish using less effective methods and equipment. Does it work. It definately does. But it's not magic. Tough fishing days can still be tough, but with BSX you are alwasy at an advantage. Sometimes the improved results will be subtle and other times very dramatic. It is good for fish, good for fishermen, and good for the fishing industry which must continue to make fishing more productive and rewarding if sport fishing is to compete with other recreational opportunities the youth of tomorrow can choose from. And if we lose millions more fishermen and more in the next generation, look out, fishing as we know it could change dramatically without the support of a growing number of participants. One last thing, IF this was a "gimmick" then what would explain the company forgoing an offer from the world's largest infomercial company for an unprecented royalty contract projected to earn the icompany tens of millions $$? The answer is specifically that the inventors, researchers and the company know that it is not a gimmick and, that it represents the future of fishing and fishing technologies, which will be designed to be bio- positive, which means they will provide a positive non-stressfull stimulation to fish instead of more ways to run them down, track them down, and round them up, all of which just makes fish more stressed and less likely to bite. Think about it, or don't. That's your decision. WHL |
