Â*If they are in clear H20 i'll use water mellow pumpkin green type of color Or a clear with black little specals again sorry don't know the names. Â*I also like senko's on weightless T-rig if the fishing bite is needing a slow presentation!! hope it helps Dan AKA 2canbass Â* |

Re: Soft jerk bait minnows Â*?
It really all depends on the situation. I will throw zoom's most of the time, because I like the consistency of the bait, the action, and they offer it in a lot of different colors. If I am looking for a topwater bite, then I will use the strike king line of soft plastics, they are a lot more bouyant. Bass Assasain baits are good, and offer more colors than zoom, or more color combinations I should say, but color is really the last thing I look at anyway. The best thing I can tell you is to try them all, in different situations and decide what you like best. Good fishing.

Re: Soft jerk bait minnows Â*?
I like bassassassin shadassassins in pumpkinseed/chartreuse tail. These have a little more weight to them and they are easy to cast. Besides that, I like zoom albino and watermelonseed superflukes.

Re: Soft jerk bait minnows Â*?
I've had some luck with Storm's Wild Eye Rattlin Shad in Pearl White. Just bought some bags of Strike Kings 3X Zulu's because they were on clearance at the former Galyan's. Haven't had a chance to use them because most of the water around here has ice on it.

Re: Soft jerk bait minnows ?
I use both Super Flukes and Assassins and can't spot a difference in their fish-attracting qualities. As Hula said, Assassins are heavier, by about 15%. Every color I've ever used has produced. Color just doesn't seem to make a difference for me.

Only paid $.75 a pack so I thought I would try the Zulu's out. I agree with the majority though that the Zoom Flukes have the best colors and I have a couple of packs. But considering I haven't fished any fluke type baits very much I'll reserve my judgement until I get a chance to use them. |

Â*My favorite is by far is a Castaic Soft Plastic JBait in a Threadfin Shad color. Â*They really create vicious strikes and big fish. Zulu's are awesome too

Zoom baby bass, smokin' shad, red shad, and all of the watermelon colors work for me.
Although I did catch my biggest bass on a texas rigged senko in a red shad like color. |

Re: Soft jerk bait minnows Â*?
I've had awesome success with the Fin-S fish.
Color: Arkansas Shiner Size: 5 3/4 inch Extremely versatile in any water clarity condition. I also like to pre-stretch these before using them, and make a cut into the fork of the tail (1/4" for added action. Hold on! |
