Re: empty tank
Check with your local game or water resource agency. I know in Fl any body of water 3 acres and above will be stocked for free with cat, bass, crappie. Also check if you have somebody that is farm raising fish, they may due it for free depending on how full they are.

Re: empty tank
Is it possible to have an abundance of bait fish, bugs, and fireflies but still no fish?

Re: empty tank
What's possible is theres an abundance of natural food source there and you may have to figure out what the fish like. Go there early in morning or late in the day and try various baits and presentations.

Re: empty tank
You could also take you a john boat out there with a fishfinder on it and see if you spot anything on it. You have to know what you are looking at on the fishfinder though. Set it to manual so you can tell the difference in baitfish, and big fish.

Re: empty tank
Every state that I know of has fish hatcheries. They are there for the sole purpose of selling fish to individuals for stocking ponds. Most now sell fingerlings of bass, catfish, bream, and your normal game fish. Take a good look in the phone book and I think you will find the answer to your question.

Re: empty tank
U do NOT want many turtles in that pond...
They will constantly kill off fish and grow in numbers... Besides, do you want a bit-off finger while you're swimming?! get RID of the turtles, seaphantom |
